A great turnout of voters. When I returned home from 36 hours away, I was delighted to see that a record equalling 51 people had voted. Unfortunately, closer checking revealed someone had accidentally voted twice. However, 50 is still an impressive result. The error had minimal effect on the awards, except for a tied result in Special after the incorrect vote was deleted.

To simplify typing up these results, I have changed the format so I can more easily create it using copy and paste from the Leaders Board.

A big field of 16 started here and quickly two stood out from the pack, David and Adrian. They were never more a few points apart and ended the competition well ahead of the rest.

The competition for the third place award was quite intense, Mey and Joe equal third on Day One, then Day Two saw me moving in to third just ahead of Jesse and Joe.. I consolidated my position the next day and held to get there by two points over Mey and a quick finishing Zoran.

David's win was his second this year. It gives him his half-century and clear 5th place on the All Time Table. My win brings my total to 75.

The winner here, Don Fortier, was active in the Anagrammy Awards in 1999-2001, and it is nice to see that he has not lost the touch that won him 11 awards back then.

In the lead up to this month's competition, Jesse's clever rephrasing of the Janet Jackson fiasco looked very strong. The voters certainly agreed and by the end of the event he was 22 points clear.

This was certainly the "Battle of Gettysburg" all over again!

Using the same text, but with quite different anagrams, Toby and David were the two to watch in this small field. David led by three after the first charge, and kept a small lead on the first three days. The final day saw the battle surge back to the Yankies, with Toby routing the enemy by 13 points.

This was Toby's 9th award which will jump him over several big name anagrammatists for a clear 18th place.

Only four entrants this month, but the top three had an exciting contest, ultimately ending in a tie for first and just three points covering the top three. Initally it appeared that Adrian had won outright, but when the incorrect vote was deleted, the tie was the fair result. It means that both will go through to the Grand Anagrammies.

Three wins for Adrian this month, gives him a great start for 2004 with seven for the year, and a grand total of 44 awards, which brings him close to the Top Five.

Two awards for Richard, giving him 135 monthly wins. Mey's two wins keeps him well clear at 151 awards.

However, it was Zoran's in General that came within just a few points of picking up third place award. It also makes up for last month's mixup with his selections.
